Your Full-Service Built-In Contractor

Tired of furniture that doesn't fit, wastes space, or looks out of place? Off-the-shelf bookcases leave gaps against walls. Freestanding storage blocks windows or feels like an afterthought. Builder-grade shelving sags under the weight of books and lacks the craftsmanship your home deserves. MELTINI Kitchen & Bath Designs solves these problems with cabinetry designed and built specifically for your space—permanently installed, perfectly fitted, and crafted to match your home's architecture.

Every project starts with professional design and detailed 3D renderings so you see exactly how your shelving, cabinets, and storage will look before we build. Choose from solid wood, premium plywood, painted finishes, or natural stains. Add features like integrated LED lighting, adjustable shelves, soft-close doors, glass-front display cabinets, or ladder rails for tall library walls. From contemporary floating shelves to traditional floor-to-ceiling bookcases, we match your style and maximize every inch.

As a licensed contractor, we handle the complete build-out: precise measurements, custom fabrication in quality materials, professional installation, and any electrical work for integrated lighting. We repair drywall, work around existing trim and moldings, and ensure seamless integration with your home's architecture. No subcontractors you've never met. No gaps, no guesswork—just precision woodworking from craftsmen who take pride in their work.

From Design to Installation

We've refined our built-in process over 20 years to eliminate surprises, prevent miscommunication, and deliver cabinetry that fits perfectly the first time. You'll have a dedicated project manager as your single point of contact—coordinating designers, woodworkers, finishers, and installers so you're never chasing down answers or wondering what happens next.

Step 1: Consultation & Measurement

We meet at your home to evaluate the space—wall dimensions, ceiling height, floor levelness, existing trim profiles, outlet and vent locations, and natural light. We discuss what's not working: books piled on the floor, an empty alcove collecting dust, a home office crammed into a closet. You share inspiration photos; we take detailed field measurements and photos to begin the design process.

Step 2: 3D Design & Material Selection

Our designers build a scaled 3D model showing exactly how your built-ins will look—shelf spacing, drawer stack-up, door swing clearance, crown and base details, and hardware placement. You'll see it from multiple angles and make revisions until every inch works. Visit our Fort Lauderdale showroom to compare solid maple versus oak, painted lacquer versus stained finish, shaker doors versus slab fronts, and soft-close Blum slides versus standard drawer glides.

Step 3: Proposal & Scheduling

You receive an itemized proposal breaking out design, materials, fabrication, finishing, and installation—no hidden allowances or vague line items. Once approved, your project manager locks in shop time and schedules installation around your calendar, giving you a clear timeline from contract signing to completed punch list.

Step 4: Fabrication & Installation

Our shop builds your cabinetry using precision cutting, edge banding, dowel or pocket-screw joinery, and hand-sanding before primer and finish coats. On installation day, we protect your floors and furniture, scribe panels to uneven walls, level shelves with shims, and secure cabinets to studs. Every door gets aligned, every drawer tested, every hinge adjusted for smooth, silent operation.

Step 5: Final Walkthrough

We walk through the completed project together—opening every door, sliding every drawer, checking every shelf for level and alignment. We demonstrate soft-close mechanisms, point out touch-up locations, and confirm you're completely satisfied before we consider the job done.

Broward County's Trusted Woodworking Contractors

South Florida homes demand materials and construction methods that hold up to year-round humidity, salt air near the coast, and temperature swings from air conditioning. We specify moisture-resistant substrates, use proper sealing on all exposed edges, and select finishes that won't yellow, crack, or peel in our climate. Beyond materials, we understand local architecture—from 1950s Florida ranches with terrazzo floors and jalousie windows to contemporary new builds with 10-foot ceilings and open floor plans. Whether you need a built-in to wrap around an awkward HVAC soffit, frame a pass-through window, or maximize storage in a compact condo, we've solved these challenges hundreds of times across Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Plantation, and every neighborhood in between.
